Our Story
The Journey – Mr No Stripe to Cosplay Allstars
ORIGINS
It all started back in February 2017, when a friend needed someone to wear a Stormtrooper suit, for a photoshoot. That someone was me!!
That was the very first time wearing a costume, so wondering about the mean streets of Worthing was an absolute blast. We were mobbed for photos, and I was hooked.
Jump to 2018 and Mr No Stripe was born. Based on a Stormtrooper from A New Hope, he’s the one that shoots Leia and as his name suggests, has no blue tube stripes on his helmet.
You get a buzz being an iconic film character, it’s even more of a buzz when you turn it into something good by appearing at charity fundraising events, visiting fans, or just doing public appearances.
RELATIONS
Mr. No Stripe made his debut at the Worthing Carnival in 2018, where we had just three participants in the parade. Since then, we have collaborated with various costume groups including Hampshire Cosplay, Iconic Legion, Imperial Outlanders, Kemir’a Clan and Essex Cosplay.
Over the years, we’ve established a strong partnership with the Worthing and Highdown Rotary Clubs by participating in numerous events to assist with their fundraising efforts. Each year, we contribute to the biggest event of the year—the Worthing Carnival—and each time more characters join us.
2022, we featured 20 characters in 2023, that number grew to 39, 2024 we had 65, so how many for 2025!!
